Fran will address privacy issues in healthcare settings which include the need for appropriate, thoughtfully designed spaces for individuals and their families when facing terminal health outcomes and end-of-life moments. This includes those in the ER with basically nothing keeping the family discussion from inadvertently carrying to strangers. It is clearly an issue for double patient rooms in nursing homes with no privacy for families to talk with their providers, or patients to discuss their personal needs with caregivers.
